Breach of Employment Contract

  • The firm prosecuted and won a breach of employment contract before the American Arbitration Association in a three-day trial. The client obtained a six-figure award. On a motion to vacate an arbitral award before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, the firm successfully defended its trial-victory for the wrongfully terminated executive. The New York Law Journal included the decision of the federal court upholding the trial court's decision in its "Decision of Interest" column.


Judgment Enforcement

  • The firm obtained the vacatur of a default judgment in the amount of $1.2M entered in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Federal Courts in Florida are a notoriously difficult venue to reopen a judgment; fewer than 1% of cases are successful in getting a default judgment vacated where sufficiency of service was not challenged.

  • The firm obtained a default judgment for hundreds-of-thousands of dollars within six months of the commencement date of the lawsuit in New York State Supreme Court. Following entry of judgment, the firm successfully froze the judgment-debtors’ bank accounts, garnished the accounts, and; ultimately monetized the judgment.


Mechanics’ Lien Action

  • The firm has successfully prosecuted select mechanics’ liens enforcement actions.


Bankruptcy Litigation

  • The firm obtained an affirmative recovery in the amount of over $1M for a creditor in an adversary proceeding in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.


Personal Guaranty Action

  • The firm has successfully prosecuted claims arising out of personal guaranties.


Open Invoice Action

  • The firm has successfully prosecuted claims in federal and state court for breach of contract on open invoices.


Consumer Class Action Litigation

  • The firm has handled a wide array of class action product mislabeling cases where companies have falsely and deceptively marketed high-end food products that have undergone questionable and undisclosed production processes and include undisclosed ingredients.
